lisa-12-24-2014  Greetings Arizona Authors’ members and guests! Welcome to the amazing redesigned Association website. Thank you for your interest in the premiere literary organization in the Southwest.

As President, I led the Association governing board to maintain and further an effective voice for Arizona’s literary community and industries. Together with the distinguished Board of Directors, the Association prides itself in fostering literary achievement and advancing the literary arts through administering the annual international Literary Contest, publishing the annual Arizona Literary Magazine, publishing the bimonthly E-Newsletter, organizing, sponsoring and/or participating in statewide literary programs, conferences/seminars/workshops, book festivals, writing critique groups, etc.

After serving the Association as a judge for the Literary Contest since 2010 and then as Contest Director from 2013 to 2016, I’ve strive to ensure the Association executes this highly respected literary event with the same excellent standards. Arizona Authors’ remains the largest positive resource in Arizona for authors, writers, publishers and other industry professionals.

Drew Aquilina ~ Vice President, Literary Competition Director

drew-aquilina-author-green-pieces  My service as Vice President presents the Association with the continuity and consistency which Arizona Authors’ members have come to expect and upon which they can rely. I offer the other productive, dedicated half of a quality, consistent and cohesive team whose goals over the over the next several years, in part, are to increase membership by 20% and increase literary contest submissions by 25% [in 2016, this goal was shattered by delivering an amazing 400% increase in published submissions!]  This new website redesign features secure online membership and renewal, electronic unpublished literary contest submissions/evaluation and return, purchase of the Arizona Literary Magazine and other member-focused elements.
