As an author, she self-published two textbooks and one novel. Several of her plays have gone to performance. Previous to devoting herself fulltime to writing she taught high school speech, drama, and English as well as college English. Born in Indiana, she came to Arizona in 1969. She has two sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.
