Bio and Works

R.L. Coffield is an award winning freelance writer born and reared in Oregon, currently living in Wickenburg, Arizona. Coffield has garnered awards for works in nonfiction as well as fiction. The author writes for numerous magazines, and her articles have appeared in local, regional, and national publications. She writes under Becky Coffield and R.L. Coffield.

The author also does powerpoint presentations, teaches writing classes and presents various types of seminars. Her freelancing business includes editing, reports, brochures, trade articles, newsletters, ad copy and flyers.

Her fiction publications include the award-winning suspense novel, Northern Escape, and its sequel, Death in the Desert. Her nonfiction includes Life Was a Cabaret, One Pot Galley Gourmet, and You Can Conquer TMJ: Ideas and Recipes. Becky is a Dental Health Specialist blogger for Wellsphere.com, and also writes for suite101.com.

Married for 33 years, Becky has two grown sons. She is an accomplished sailor, having made several ocean passages traveling over 25,000 miles aboard her sailboat, Cabaret. She enjoys boating, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, golfing, traveling, camping and motorcycle riding. She fancies herself a painter, but she's really not.

Coffield attended Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon. She received her B.A. Degree in English at Portland State University, and her Masters Degree in Liberal Studies from Lewis and Clark College.
