2009 ARIZONA LITERARY AWARDS BANQUET

Saturday, November 7, 2009 - 6 pm to 11 pm

Most of the contest finalists, many from other states, along with the press, bookstore managers, librarians, publishers, and authors and writers come to support the Arizona Authors Association, will attend in their best finery this prestigious night where the winners of the Arizona Literary Awards will be revealed, along with the new issue of the Arizona Literary Magazine publishing the winning entries.

There will be a cash bar and a book signing with Arizona Authors.

The Arizona Literary Magazine will go on sale only after the awards.


The menu will include:

- Bistro salad, mesculum greens with strawberries, Gorgonzola cheese, candied walnuts and balsamic viniagrette

- Choice of Sauteed farm raised salmon finished with a lemon herb sauce and creamy risotto

- Or Mesquite grilled flat iron steak with pasilla sauce and garlic mashed potatoes
Dessert

- Chocolate lava cake served warm with a molten chocolate center and whipped cream.

The cost is $45 per dinner, payable in advance or at the door. We can accept only cash or check. No credit cards. We will have to pay for all the dinners reserved, so please attend if you make a reservation.

Awards to celebrate the winners will follow dinner. A DJ will provide music for dinner and for dancing after the awards. He'll play requests so bring your partner and your dancing shoes.
